The squalor alone isn't enough - this would be a more affecting story had if it showed us what was happening beneath the decaying exterior.. The cheerful, plucky characters have heart and loyalty, and that's enough to make this a worthy family-friendly animated fest.. As breezy as an afternoon on the prairie..
