I can't quite recommend it, but... for a certain demographic why not.. Take away the Brooklyn chic and the medical emergency, and "Song One" is a pretty good study-hall daydream.. It all seems like low-key riffing, rather than a movie that makes any cohesive statement.. Dance scenes feel like a diversion, since the story, acting and dialogue are sadly lacking in originality and substance..
