Too much of Taking Woodstock seems barely sketched out.. It's so predictable.. There's an entertainingly ludicrous movie lurking somewhere inside of the ludicrous, mediocre one this actually is.. Taking Woodstock is hardly a bad trip; just a very inconsequential one.. This is fairy tale stuff, its saintly hip-hop heroine far too worthy for comfort and its dialogue hilariously banal.. If this Woodstock comes off as Edenic... don't assume the movie's advertising the real thing. Think of it as Ang ...
